Code Evaluation Reports for U.S. and Canadian SIP Building

Insulspan® Structural Insulated Panels are the only SIPs in the industry to have code evaluation reports in both the U.S. and Canada. Use the links below to obtain United States’ ICC-ES Evaluation Report (ESR-1295) and the Canadian CCMC Evaluation Report (13016-R).

U.S. ICC-ES Evaluation Reports

ICC Evaluation Services, Inc. (ICC-ES) is the most widely recognized national evaluation body in the United States that performs technical evaluations of building products, components, methods, and materials for compliance with code. These reports are readily available on their website, to code officials, contractors, specifiers, architects, engineers, and others in the building and construction industry.

ICC-ES Evaluation Report ESR-1295 provides evidence that the Insulspan SIP System is a suitable alternative to methods of construction described within identified codes and subject to the conditions of use detailed in section 5.0 of the evaluation report. ESR-1295 includes a 2020 City of Los Angeles Building Code (LABC) and 2020 City of Los Angeles Residential Code (LARC) Supplement, a 2019 California Building Code (CBC) and 2019 California Residential Code (CRC) Supplement, and a Florida Building Code (FBC) Supplement confirming that the Insulspan SIP System complies with the 2017 Florida Building Code—Residential and 2017 Florida Building Code—Building. The Insulspan SIP System has also been evaluated for compliance with specific green codes and/or standards: 2019 California Green Building Standards Code (CALGreen), and the 2020, 2015, 2012, and 2008 ICC 700 National Green Building Standard™. Canadian CCMC Evaluation Report

The Canadian Construction Materials Centre (CCMC) provides a national evaluation service for new and innovative materials products, systems, and services that are recognized by provincial and territorial building regulatory bodies.

CCMC Evaluation Report 13016-R confirms that the Insulspan Structural Insulated Panel (SIP) System complies with the National Building Code (NBC) of Canada 2010 when used as exterior insulated load-bearing wall and roof panels as indicated within given clauses.
