Insulspan, the premier supplier of highly energy efficient structural insulated panels (SIPs) for use as walls, roofs, and full structural envelopes in both residential and commercial applications, is seeking a strong, highly motivated Sales Manager.  This position will be based out of our head office in southeast Michigan.

Insulspan – a part of Calgary-based PFB Corporation, has experienced strong growth in recent years and is perfectly positioned to continue to take advantage of the expected enormous growth in the energy efficient building products sector. Our high quality SIPs are precision made in two factories, located in Michigan and British Columbia and shipped to a growing customer base across the United States and Canada.

Duties and Responsibilities Include

  • Recruit and hire high performing sales representatives in the residential sales segment of the company
  • Train, coach, and develop both new and existing members of the sales team
  • Develop, refine, and ensure compliance with sales and company processes and policies
  • Meet and exceed budgeted sales revenue in each market segment while maintaining gross margin goals
  • Participate in the planning, attendance, and successful management of lunch and learns, trade shows, and customer seminars
  • Collaborate with the Marketing Manager to grow brand recognition and develop sales leads
  • Create a comprehensive competitor analysis and create sales strategies to grow our market share
  • Perform business case studies to use as sales and marketing tools to demonstrate the value of our products in various applications
  • Develop solid sales plans and continuously track performance to the plans
  • Research, investigate, and acquire new business relationships for high volume and ongoing sales

Preferred Skills, Knowledge and Requirements

  • Energetic, driven personality, with a high level of professionalism and integrity
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
  • 5-10 years of experience managing a sales team
  • Demonstrated ability of achieving sales goals and growing sales revenue
  • Experience in the construction industry
  • Knowledge of the SIP industry or expertise in energy efficiency and building codes is a plus
  • Excellent organizational, decision making, and problem solving skills
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills with the ability to present
  • Some travel required

This is a full-time position with career growth potential; base salary is commensurate with experience. Commission, profit sharing, medical benefits & 401k plan available.
