Ottawa Lake, Michigan
The 7,000-square-foot Legacy Clubhouse includes a pro shop, restaurant, and bar. The Golf Club expands to a resort with the construction of 30 cabins surrounding a lake on the 18-hole, Arthur Hills signature course. Each 1,152-square-foot cabin features three bedrooms, two baths, kitchen, and great room with fireplace. SIP walls and SIP roofs provided by Insulspan® assisted in the high quality and speed of construction.
Golf outings and retreats will be merely an option with the Island Resort’s indoor pool, game room, and conference center. Future development includes a 7,000-square-foot, conference center that will accommodate large groups and banquets.
Clubhouse and cabins built with the Insulspan wall and roof structural insulated panel system.
The quality, speed of construction, and performance of the Insulspan panels in the 1996 construction of the 7,000-square-foot clubhouse proved to the developer their superiority.
Because of the Insulspan panel system’s thermal performance, all cabins forego a conventional furnace system. Instead, heating and cooling happen via a heat exchanger and an air handler fed by the hot water tank.
“As an owner, when you’re paying the energy bills, efficiency matters,” said Joe Garverick, The Legacy Golf Course & Island Resort.
In addition to increasing speed of construction, Insulspan is price competitive. This is because upon design completion, manufacturing is fast and easily reproduced. In turn, cycle time and overhead costs decrease– and cash flow improves
