Insulspan® structural insulating
roof panels, manufactured in Aldergrove, B.C., are being used as
the energy-efficient roofing system for the B.C. Canada Place at
the 2006 Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games in Torino, Italy.
The house will host international media and visitors coming to the
2006 Winter Games and serve as a showcase for B.C. business, tourism
and culture. It is an opportunity to promote B.C. in advance of
the 2010 Games in Whistler and Vancouver.
The house is being built by Sitka Log Homes of 100 Mile House, B.C.,
one of Insulspan’s pro minent customers. “The log house
incorporates Insulspan roof panels into this wonderful design, says
Dave Stevenson, of Insulspan Corporation. “The product was
shipped ready-to-assemble on site”.
Walter Bramsleven of Sitka Log Homes worked with the Insulspan roof
panels in Torino. “It came together quickly helping us meet
our strict construction deadline and worked well with our design.
Insulspan was the right choice for this project as it is for a number
of other projects we build.”
Construction began in August and is expected to be completed at
the end of December. For construction photos visit www.sitkaloghomes.com/torino.htm
