Insulspan Homes Provide More Space

An Insulspan SIP wall and roof system provides significantly more space for things like storage, dramatic living areas, and extra living space. We tend to measure the cost of homes by the square foot when we should be considering the cubic feet of space we get in a home design.

Insulspan High-Performance Home plans are designed to take advantage of the unique advantages of the Insulspan Structural Insulated Panel System. Homes designed and built with the Insulspan System offer numerous advantages over outdated stud-frame building technology. The designs offer greater use of volume and space than typically expected in the same home built with stud and truss systems. Bonus rooms, sleeping lofts, storage space and more dramatic and interesting spaces are common features of Insulspan homes.

By their nature Insulspan SIP roof and wall systems offer more volume due to the fact that the insulating envelope is in the roof plane not the ceiling, thus providing much greater opportunity to utilize that space for many uses. Common roof truss design prevents ever using the volume under the roof for living space. With an Insulspan roof system air handling ducts can be located entirely inside the insulating envelope. This greatly reduces heat loss from the ducts and saves even more energy and cost.

All the plans are designed with the intent to take advantage of the extra volume that the Insulspan system offers. If a design does not perfectly fit your needs or site, do not despair. Insulspan's computer-driven design and manufacturing make modifications much more efficiently than with other methods. In fact, total custom construction is also handled very efficiently by the Insulspan design and manufacturing systems.
