Insulspan has been recognized by various organizations for its building and design excellence, as well as different categories from energy efficiency in building, to design and construction. Below are a few awards that we are honored to receive.
Insulspan has received the Excellence in Home Design Award in the Green Panelized Home category of the 2010 BSC
Excellence in Home Design and Marketing Awards program.
Insulspan received the award for the Blunk residence in Batavia, Ill., a project that used Insulspan SIPS, Advantage ICFs and Plastispan under-slab insulation to create the tight building envelope required to achieve a "one-watt house” – a home that uses only one watt of energy for every finished square foot.
The awards are given annually by the Building Systems Councils (BSC), an arm of the National Association of Home Builders (NAHB), and judged by a panel of industry experts. Winners were announced at an awards luncheon in Marco Island, Fla., held in conjunction with the BSC SHOWCASE – the leading trade show and conference for the systems-built housing industry.
Fireside Homes, according to the EVHA judges, "Appears to be doing everything it can (that is economically feasable) to design, build and market an excellent home." The company;s attention to detail in site planning, pre-construction energy anaylsis and the construction process resulted in an exceptionally tight home and a noteworthy HERS index.

Insulspan SIPS is recognized as one of the top 10 Green Building Products of 2007 -- Insulspan Structural Insulated Panels is voted one of the top green building products of 2007 by the editors of Sustainable Industries. Companies were nominated by SI readers, then gathered and judged by an independent panel of green building professionals. In the words of the judges of Sustainable Industries , "not all SIPs are created equal, and Insulspan is the best.”
